Life should come with an Instruction Manual!

Ok. I’ve had this thing for a month now and figured it was time to update again. I’m so bad at writing anything, it can take me an hour to put together a simple email. It’s the perfectionist in me. I’m used to putting together spreadsheets or writing technical documents at work. It takes absolutely no imagination, which is just perfect for me. I couldn’t write a story to save my life, but ask me to write 35 pages on how to format a billing invoice and look out! By the time I post this I’ll probably have edited it 5 times and it will have taken me a week. I just figured it was time to really introduce myself outside of my first near hysterical post about “Hairspray”. I’m older, but don’t feel old. People usually think I’m at least 10 years younger than I really am, which of course is just fine with me! I love the fall and winter, because it’s football season and I just came out of a 2 week stupor from watching too much of the Olympics. I’m not married, never have been. Haven’t found anyone I could put up with or who could put up with me, but I haven’t stopped looking! I do have a great family though. It’s me, my mom, my sister and my niece. Sometimes they make me crazy, but only in a good way. I’m fairly quiet and I and I must give off that conservative/nice girl vibe to people who don’t know me. For example. When I'm at work and I'm writing or working on files, I love to listen to Linkin Park or Staind. It’s loud and just keeps me going. It cracks me up when people ask me what music I’m listening to though. The look on their face’s when I tell them is priceless, they usually guess something really low key. I even had someone guess Barry Manilow! Seriously, that I’ll only listen to at home to embarrass my niece. : P

Ok, I reworked this paragraph 10 times, but it did only take me a day. Promising!

Big Girls for the Win!

I’m late to this party, but I’m glad I came!

I didn’t see the movie hairspray until about a month ago and when I did I couldn’t believe it had taken me so long! The movie was great, the cast was awesome and the songs just made me want to sing along. I thought that Zac Efron and Nikki Blonsky were so cute together and of course decided to check out the net to see what I could find. I thought I had remembered something from awhile back about a kiss? First stop was youtube, where I found the footage from MOD. That led me to about a million other videos of them together for interviews and appearances and I just thought they had great chemistry together. Back to the net again to see if I was the only one. Boy was I in for a surprise! There was a whole world of people out there who thought the same thing. And then I found the fics. OMG! I was in heaven. I’ve been reading in different fandoms for years, but this one was the first one where I wanted to create an LJ so I could join in. I’m working my way through all types of fics and having a great time. Now there is word of a possible Hairspray sequel! The thought of everyone together again makes me want to giggle like a 12 year old fangirl. I’m hoping if I sit still and don’t make too much noise, cross my fingers and say a few prayers that it’ll happen. And this time I won’t be late for the party!

To many things to do and not enough time to do them. And of course I just decided that I needed to create a live journal account. Because you know I didn't have enough to do already, so I figured I'd torture myself with this too. Sometimes I wonder about my IQ points?
